Expert Suspension Service for Peak Performance
Your mountain bike’s suspension system—front fork and rear shock—is a finely tuned assembly that demands regular care to stay at its best. Routine service removes dirt and contaminants from internal components and fluids, improving performance and extending the life of your gear.
At DT Creations, we’re one of the few shops in the region equipped with the specialized tools and in-house expertise to handle full suspension service. From basic lowers and air can maintenance to complete fork and shock overhauls, we do it all—without outsourcing. While most shops send advanced suspension work elsewhere, we keep it local and professional.
Why Choose DT Creations for Your Suspension Service
Expert Suspension Service—All In-House
At DT Creations, we handle every aspect of suspension service in-house—from fork rebuilds to shock overhauls. We're one of the few shops in the region equipped to do this work ourselves, and many other bike shops even trust DTC to perform these services on their behalf.
Precision Equipment for Peak Performance
We use the Laba7 vacuum pump to bleed and refill sealed dampers with zero air contamination, ensuring optimal performance and longevity. In fact, our process often exceeds factory standards—many brand-new shocks aren’t vacuum bled, but ours are. We also offer nitrogen fills, which deliver more stable pressure and minimize leakage. Nitrogen is essential for some shocks and a valuable upgrade for others.
Quick Turnaround, No Outsourcing
All suspension work is completed at our Carrollton location, allowing us to offer faster turnaround times than shops that outsource. Your equipment stays with us, and you get back to riding sooner—with confidence.
Fork Service
Fork Service Guidelines for Peak Performance To keep your mountain bike suspension running smoothly, it's recommended to overhaul your fork every 100 hours of riding or once per year—whichever comes first. If you ride several times a week, a Lowers Service every 6 months or 50 hours can help extend the life of your components by clearing out dirt, grime, and other contaminants.
While some manufacturers may allow longer intervals, annual servicing is still the general standard across the industry.
Track Your Ride Time These are maximum service intervals—so for best results, consider tracking your ride hours with free apps like Strava or Ride with GPS. If you frequently ride in wet or muddy conditions, you may need more frequent service to protect your suspension.

Shock Service
Restore Peak Performance with Regular Shock Service
Routine shock maintenance is one of the most critical upgrades you can make to your bike. Over time, air can infiltrate the damper oil, causing cavitation and reducing the effectiveness of compression and rebound. Because this degradation happens gradually, most riders don’t notice until performance drops significantly—or a major failure occurs.
At DT Creations, we recommend servicing your shock every 100 hours or once per year, whichever comes first. Our comprehensive rebuild includes:
- Full disassembly and inspection for wear or damage
- Replacement of all seals in the air can and damper
- Vacuum filling with OEM-specified oil for zero air contamination
- Nitrogen charging for consistent pressure and reduced leakage
- Dyno testing to verify proper function and like-new performance
Let DT Creations keep your suspension dialed in—so your bike rides like it did on day one.
Full shock service starts at $120 + Seal Kits (Average Total $175)
Dropper Service
Dropper posts often fly under the radar when it comes to maintenance, yet they play a crucial role in ride performance. To keep them responsive and operating smoothly, routine servicing is essential. Most manufacturers suggest an annual service, with a more thorough rebuild every two years. Staying on top of regular maintenance not only ensures optimal function but also extends the lifespan of your dropper by keeping it clean and properly lubricated.
- Full disassembly and inspection for wear or damage
- Replacement of all seals, bushings, and keys per manufacture's specifications.
- Full bleed and charge of piston where required
- Reassembled with fresh grease for optimal function
- Functions checked to ensure optimal performance
